heads bonus, then the stagger damage should be MORE than 30% higher, right? But let's say this time you used the Weighted Crown hammer mod to change any stagger hitzone below 100% to 100%. Now, let's say you hit a 300 power Firebrand Charrogg with that 500 power drask hammer. I'm sure you can see the difference if Drask UE was an sDMG% bonus. If it were an sDMG% bonus, you'd instead use THIS calculation: heads. At every point the Drask UE is applying its +30% damage to all damage types, as it's an rDMG% bonus, not sDMG% bonus. Stagger: ((400) x 1.33 x (1+.3+.35) - 80) x 1 x 1.2 = 957.36Īt no point is hammer getting a unique bonus to stagger damage vs. Your damage calculations would look something like this: Not primed just because prime math makes the calculations a little too complicated. Let's say that hit is the Aerial Strike since it has a nice round MV of 400. Let's say you hit a 500 power Scorchstone Hellion with a 500 power drask hammer and had Predator +6 for +35% damage and the behemoth has not yet been staggered. The UE is "+30% Damage to Behemoth Heads". Hits to the head with Drask Hammer do more DAMAGE. I may have forgotten some perks or armors/weapons, or maybe some of my opinions disagree with yours, I would love to have a discussion in comments. Hellion weapons' unique effect is better for faster weapons like chain blades and war pikes as it procs more often.ĭrask weapons' unique effect is good on axes (30% more damage on the head), but often not very good on hammers as aetherslam travels in a straight line which is long enough such that quite a few shots don't hit the head and aetherlam is where the highest portion of hammers' DPS comes from. Riftstalker weapons' unique effect is very good for slow weapons aether strikers, hammer, swords, axe as they can build orbs fast giving a 40% increase to dmg on 10 orbs. Mobility cells, in general, are not very good, so any armor with mobility cell was not added to the list. Since Iceborne can be replaced for damage perks it is not considered speedrunning DPS META. Iceborne is incredibly useful for players who don't have enough skill to play higher DPS builds. Any armor with such perks was added to the list.Ĭunning, Aetheric Attunement, Molten, and Aetherhunter are not as good as the rest of the perks, but may still be used situationally based on what cells are available in a build. The only good perks imho are: Iceborne, Overpower, Rage, Discipline, Ragehunter, Aetherhunter, Berserker, Cunning, Evasive Fury, Molten, Predator, Wild Frenzy, Aetheric Attunement, Conduit. The most important thing is the innate perk on armor, as it is essential to have good innate perks to make optimized total rank 36 builds. If needed, switch AA for a good cell in these. You can use the following resources to find your own builds: Riftstalker head (Aetheric Attunement)*.Riftstalker (Great unique effect) (Axe, Strikers, Hammer).Thrax Weapons + Riftstalker Bind (Axe, Strikers, Hammer). Hellion Weapons (2 power cells + overpower + good unique effect) (CBs, Pike, Sword).Torgadoro Weapons + Hellion Bind (CBs, Pike, Sword).Read the guide for why and when to use them. Ones with an asterisk are not as good as the rest.
